Lucknow, October 8 – The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) today inaugurated its 21st Real Estate Agent Training Programme in Lucknow, marking a significant stride towards enhancing professionalism and fostering greater transparency within the state's burgeoning property market.
The four-day intensive program, hosted at the Indian Literacy Board, commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Justice Suneet Kumar, Chairperson of the Real Estate Appellate Tribunal (REAT), and Sanjay Bhoosreddy, Chairperson of UP RERA, underscoring the joint commitment to industry upliftment.
In his inaugural address, Chairperson Bhoosreddy highlighted the indispensable role of real estate agents. "Promoters, agents, and RERA constitute the foundational pillars of the real estate ecosystem," he stated. "Our collective imperative is to safeguard consumer investments and cultivate an environment of absolute transparency across the sector." He further emphasized that the RERA Act was specifically enacted to instill accountability and bolster consumer trust.
Bhoosreddy stressed the critical need for agents to possess a deep understanding of the regulatory framework. "This training will equip agents with comprehensive knowledge of the RERA Act and associated legislation. Agents must diligently study the Apartment Ownership Act, the Contract Act, and the Transfer of Property Act, ensuring they disseminate only verified information sourced directly from the official RERA portal to their clients," he advised. He also informed participants that successful completion of a mandatory final examination is a prerequisite for receiving certificates and proceeding with online registration, reinforcing the commitment to `Property Agent Certification`.
Justice Suneet Kumar, in his keynote address, articulated RERA's pivotal function as a bridge connecting consumers, promoters, and agents. "Agents must remain current with all regulations via the RERA portal and possess a thorough understanding of pertinent legislation," he urged. He underscored the paramount importance of unwavering honesty and full transparency, cautioning against the perils of misinformation. "Agents frequently encounter challenges due to inaccurate or misleading data. To circumvent this, they should conduct personal inspections of projects and guarantee that buyers receive only factual, up-to-date information," Justice Kumar recommended, promoting `Ethical Real Estate Practices`.
The program features dedicated sessions led by UP RERA officials and legal experts, focusing on intricate aspects of the `RERA Act Compliance`, ethical conduct, and optimal utilization of the Agent Portal. This initiative is set to significantly strengthen `Consumer Protection Real Estate` and elevate `Indian Real Estate Regulation` standards, ultimately building long-term trust in the `Uttar Pradesh Property Market`.
This `Real Estate Agent Training` initiative is a testament to UP RERA's commitment to nurturing `Real Estate Professionalism` and ensuring `Real Estate Transparency` for all stakeholders.
