The project, with an investment of INR 35 crore, is primarily funded by the High-range Rural Development Society (HRDS India), a notable non-governmental organization. This collaboration ensures that no government funds are utilized for this venture, thereby setting a precedent for community-driven development. The housing units are designed to cater specifically to the needs of the affected families, providing them with a safe and secure environment to rebuild their lives.
The housing units will feature three-bedroom prefabricated Smart Houses, which are expected to be completed within a span of six months. Each unit will also include necessary facilities, such as cowsheds, to support the livelihoods of the families residing there.
In addition to the housing units, HRDS India is committed to offering a comprehensive welfare package to the beneficiaries. This package includes free life insurance for all family members for a period of 15 years, as well as annual health checkups and maintenance coverage for the homes for the next 5 years.
