Reliance MET City, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, is strengthening its presence in the real estate sector by advancing residential and mixed-use development plans at its large integrated township in Jhajjar, Haryana. Spread across more than 8,000 acres, the project has been under land aggregation and development for over a decade and is positioned as a multi-use hub combining industrial, logistics, commercial, and residential components. Over the years, Reliance has already divested more than 2,000 acres—largely to domestic and global industrial players—helping establish the location as an emerging industrial and manufacturing destination within the Delhi–NCR region. The company has invested in excess of ₹10,000 crore so far toward infrastructure creation, utilities, and core development, underscoring its long-term commitment to building a large-scale, self-sustained township. As part of the next phase, Reliance MET City is now developing a 140-acre parcel that will include residential plotted development, industrial plots, and a future group housing component, with around 100 acres currently under active development. The residential offering is expected to focus on plotted formats in multiple size configurations, catering to end-users as well as investors seeking low-density housing options within a planned township environment. In parallel, the company is also evaluating expansion across warehousing, co-living, and commercial assets, aligning the project with evolving demand from manufacturing, logistics, and services sectors. From a real estate perspective, the integrated township model reflects a broader trend in the NCR market, where developers are combining industrial and residential uses to create employment-led housing demand. Improved connectivity, proximity to industrial clusters, and growing interest from institutional and corporate occupiers have helped locations like Jhajjar gain prominence beyond traditional residential corridors. If executed as planned, Reliance MET City’s next development phase could add to the region’s housing supply while supporting ancillary demand for commercial and logistics real estate, reinforcing the township’s role as a long-term growth node in Haryana’s real estate and industrial landscape.
