The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports is seeking public feedback on three sets of draft Rules related to national sports governance. These rules, namely Draft National Sports Governance (National Sports Bodies) Rules, Draft National Sports Governance (National Sports Board) Rules, and Draft National Sports Governance (National Sports Tribunal) Rules, aim to support the implementation of the National Sports Governance Act, 2025. Interested individuals and stakeholders can submit their feedback and comments via post or email to the Ministry by November 14, 2025. The Act, passed by both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha in August 2025, focuses on enhancing ethical practices, promoting fair play, and ensuring the well-being of sportspersons. The Draft Rules provide frameworks for the functioning of National Sports Bodies, National Sports Board, and National Sports Tribunal, outlining key aspects such as composition, election procedures, and disqualification criteria. These rules aim to establish a robust governance framework for sports in India and ensure transparency and accountability in the sports sector.
