The NAREDCO Real Estate Conclave 2026 and the NAREDCO NextGen NCR Conclave recently convened on June 19, 2026, at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, marking a pivotal moment for the Indian real estate sector. Organized in collaboration with Bharat Buildcon, the events drew together a diverse group of industry stakeholders, including policymakers, developers, architects, engineers, and technology innovators. These gatherings resulted in a strong consensus emphasizing the urgent need for the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), sustainable construction practices, integrated urban governance, and large-scale skill development. These themes are crucial as India aims to realize its vision for Viksit Bharat 2047.

The conclaves featured a comprehensive dialogue across multiple sessions that addressed pressing issues within the real estate and urban development ecosystem. Participants engaged in discussions focused on the future of India’s built environment, highlighting the necessity for growth that balances scale with efficiency, environmental responsibility, and digital integration. The events underscored a transformative phase for the real estate sector, one that prioritizes citizen-centric development and sustainable practices. Notably, the participation of senior dignitaries, including Mr. Anand Kumar, Chairman of AIFORERA and Delhi RERA, and Mr. Durga Shanker Mishra, Former Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, lent significant weight to the discussions.

A key highlight of the conclave was the launch of the report titled "Advancing India's Housing and Urban Development Agenda," prepared in collaboration with KPMG India. This report was unveiled by Shri Manohar Lal, Hon'ble Minister of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, during the inaugural ceremony. Additionally, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NAREDCO and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was announced, aimed at fostering professional collaboration and enhancing transparency within the real estate sector. At the National Conclave, discussions revealed a collective understanding that AI, modern construction technologies, sustainable materials, and regulatory enhancements are essential for reshaping India’s urban landscape.

In his address, Shri Anand Kumar emphasized the sector's potential to evolve into a multi-trillion-dollar industry in the coming decades. However, he warned that realizing this potential will require heightened investor confidence, robust compliance, and strategic planning. He acknowledged the role of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, or RERA, in restoring trust among stakeholders, stating that all parties must understand and fulfill their responsibilities under the law to ensure sustainable sector growth. Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman of NAREDCO, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that India's real estate sector must adapt and innovate to align with global standards and expectations. This series of conclaves not only highlights the urgent conversations taking place in India's real estate landscape but also sets the stage for future collaborations and advancements that will define the sector's trajectory over the next two decades.
