A Visionary Step: Jharkhand’s Massive IT Push

With a view to making changes in economy, the government of Jharkhand has now begun negotiations for setting up an IT park along with GCC in the state capital of Ranchi by 2029. This is an ambitious plan which was made known during a meeting between the chief minister Hemant Soren and Deepak Chhabria, who is the president of RMZ Infrastructure.

This technology park reveals the serious attempts made by the state to attract foreign investments, upgrade industries and establish a digital ecosystem compatible with future.

Employment Boom and World-Class Infrastructure
The project holds immense possibilities for the local manpower as it intends to generate approximately 20,000 skilled employment opportunities during the initial phase of its construction. This figure is bound to increase considerably within the next three years to generate 75,000 job opportunities in total. There will be ample opportunities for local tech experts to avail themselves. The project will come up on a plot size of 100 acres of land situated very close to prestigious establishments such as IIM Ranchi and the new assembly complex. It will comprise office complexes having modern digital infrastructure to lure some of the leading international firms into investing there.

Strategic Benchmarking and Next-Gen Technologies
The state IT delegation will be visiting Bengaluru to review the successful business models, infrastructural systems, and GCC ecosystems in order to ensure that the technology hub maintains the best industrial standards. In addition to the regular software solutions, the state’s collaboration plan concentrates on the sectors having high potential such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, and nuclear energy technologies. The strategic approach is indicative of how the state has been evolving into a technology hub that will have a bright economic future ahead.
