The Hindu Group's annual real estate exposition, Living Spaces 2026, commenced in Bengaluru on Saturday, officially inaugurated by Ramalinga Reddy, the Minister for Transport and Muzrai. This two-day event has garnered significant attention, showcasing over 200 real estate projects from various developers across different zones of the city, with a particular emphasis on the South and North regions. The expo is a collaboration involving the Vaishnavi Group, the Bangalore Development Authority, and ORCHIDS The International School, creating a platform for interaction among key stakeholders in the real estate sector.

Living Spaces 2026 serves as a comprehensive forum, bringing together a diverse array of participants, including leading developers, investors, financial institutions, and construction material suppliers. This integration provides prospective home buyers with a holistic view of the real estate ecosystem. Attendees can explore a variety of offerings, encompassing apartments, villas, plots, and farmland, alongside housing loan options from various banks, including IDBI. The event aims to facilitate connections and discussions that could lead to informed investment decisions among potential buyers.

Industry representatives highlighted emerging trends during the expo. Amit Bharadwaj, senior manager of sales at Vaishnavi Group, noted the completion of 40 projects, including a significant luxury development named Vaishnavi AT-One Krishna Brindavan, featuring 359 upscale homes in Banashankari 2nd stage. Meanwhile, Amberstone Properties is focusing on the luxury segment with five new projects, including two high-demand developments off Sarjapur Road and in J.P. Nagar. The firm is witnessing a noticeable shift in buyer preferences, as the market transitions from premium to luxury offerings, driven by a growing desire for spacious and exclusive living spaces.

The evolving landscape of buyer expectations was echoed by Rashid Khan, deputy sales manager at SBR Group, who noted that prospective homeowners are increasingly seeking larger, quality living spaces, leading to a rise in property price points. SBR Group is currently managing five ongoing projects, including SBR One Residence in Whitefield, which is set to offer over 930 homes in its first phase. Additionally, Abbas Mirza from DS Max highlighted a significant price adjustment in the market; homes that were previously available in the ₹40 lakh to ₹50 lakh range have now escalated to ₹80 lakh to ₹85 lakh following the pandemic. Living Spaces 2026 stands as a testament to the dynamism of the Bengaluru real estate market, reflecting current trends and future opportunities for both buyers and developers alike.
