Hyderabad residents who invested in properties developed by Indu Projects in Kukatpally and Bandlaguda are facing a prolonged battle for the registration of their homes. The issue, lingering for over a decade, has prompted over 1,000 homeowners to come together and seek resolution from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The gathering, held at Aranya Haritha on a recent Sunday, culminated in a decision to collectively appeal to the Chief Minister for assistance. Despite committing their life savings to the joint ventures with the Telangana Housing Board (formerly APHB), these residents find themselves without legal ownership of the properties they purchased. The projects, initiated in 2006, encountered significant delays and were only partially completed by 2016. The situation worsened with Indu Projects facing insolvency proceedings and the new management disavowing any responsibility, leaving both the developer and the Housing Board evading accountability, according to the affected homeowners. Despite court judgments in their favor, progress on property registration remains stagnant, leaving residents in limbo regarding their ownership status. "Living in these homes without legal ownership for such an extended period has been a significant source of stress and uncertainty for us," expressed the delegates, placing hope in the Chief Minister's intervention to finally bring closure and justice to the affected families. V. Sunil, president of IFF Kukatpally, articulated the sentiment of the homeowners, emphasizing the significance of the Chief Minister's involvement in reinstating trust among genuine buyers who had placed their faith in a government-supported project.
