Hyderabad's real estate market is exhibiting robust demand, with over 26,100 homes sold in the first half of 2026, as reported by CREDAI Hyderabad. This impressive statistic was unveiled during the inauguration of the three-day CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. The event, themed 'Rate Aagadhu, Demand Thaggadhu,' features more than 300 RERA-approved projects from over 60 developers, showcasing the vibrancy and potential of the region's property market until August 30.
According to B. Jagannath Rao, the president-elect of CREDAI Hyderabad, the homes sold in this period accounted for approximately 60 million square feet of super built-up area. This achievement positions Hyderabad as a frontrunner in Indiaβs residential real estate sector. The average home size has been reported at around 2,300 square feet, while the average ticket size has increased by 10% year-on-year, now standing at βΉ2.03 crore. These figures underscore the growing appeal of Hyderabad as a prime destination for homebuyers and investors alike.
Sanjay Jaju, the Chief Secretary of Telangana, inaugurated the property show and emphasized the significance of real estate and property development in the stateβs economic landscape. He noted that the government is dedicated to fostering an environment that promotes reliable and transparent development practices. This commitment is aimed at ensuring that the real estate sector continues to play a vital role in driving investment and economic growth in Telangana.
In light of the thriving market, CREDAI Hyderabad's current president, N. Jaideep Reddy, has urged the government to address several pending issues, including the 10% building permit mortgage and components related to NALA. Reddy advocated for either the elimination of the mortgage requirement in light of RERA regulations or a reduction to 5%, as this would free up capital for developers. Additionally, the association is seeking greater clarity regarding the payment of NALA fees in conjunction with the building approval process. These measures, if enacted, could further enhance the investment climate and support the continued growth of Hyderabad's real estate sector.
