Mumbai, a city known for its bustling economy and vibrant lifestyle, is witnessing a significant development in the housing sector. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is set to offer approximately 1,000 residential plots near the upcoming Noida International Airport. This initiative aims to cater to the growing demand for quality housing in the region, especially with the airport expected to become operational by February 2026.
Under this promising scheme, YEIDA will provide 973 residential plots of varying sizes, which include 162, 183, 184, 200, 223, and 290 square metres. Specifically, there are 476 plots of 162 sqm, alongside smaller numbers of plots sized 183 sqm, 184 sqm, 481 sqm, and others. The plots will be strategically located in sectors 15C, 18, and 24A, ensuring that potential homeowners are just a stone's throw away from the future airport. This proximity not only enhances accessibility but also promises a rise in property value, making it a lucrative investment opportunity.
As per statements from YEIDA officials, the authority is committed to adhering to all regulatory formalities before the launch of this housing scheme. RK Singh, the Chief Executive Officer of YEIDA, emphasized that they are in the process of obtaining registration from the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRERA), which is essential for the project. Once this registration is secured, the plots will be made available for purchase, primarily targeting buyers looking to invest in residential properties along the Yamuna Expressway.
In a commendable move to support local communities, YEIDA has reserved a significant portion of these plots for specific groups. 17.5% of the plots are dedicated to farmers whose land has been acquired for development, while 5% are reserved for industrialists with operational units in the YEIDA area. The remaining 77.5% of plots will be open to the general public, ensuring a variety of options for potential buyers.
In the past year alone, YEIDA has successfully allotted 65 industrial plots, generating substantial revenue of ₹2,200 crore through various schemes, including projects related to medical devices and other industrial sectors. This trend of growth and development is indicative of the region's potential and the increasing interest among investors and homeowners alike. As the Noida International Airport project advances, this housing scheme promises to reshape the residential landscape of the area, making it an ideal choice for those looking to establish their homes in this thriving region.
