In a recent incident in Coimbatore, unidentified individuals forcibly entered a residence in Indira Nagar and stole 45 sovereigns of gold ornaments along with Rs 6,000 in cash. The targeted house belonged to A Gnanaprakasam, a 35-year-old faculty member at a private engineering college in Coimbatore. The burglary took place while Gnanaprakasam was away with his family celebrating Diwali in his hometown. Upon returning, he discovered the front door lock broken and valuables missing. The local authorities, including Podanur police, have launched an investigation, securing CCTV footage from the area and collecting fingerprints from the scene. To apprehend the culprits, three special teams have been deployed by the police.
