AgentKart has officially launched its innovative real estate platform in the National Capital Region (NCR), aiming to address the pervasive issues of privacy, verification, and transparency in property transactions. This initiative comes as a response to widespread frustration among property buyers, who often encounter fake listings, incessant spam calls, and a lack of trustworthy agents. According to industry estimates, more than 60% of buyers in the NCR report encountering fake listings, which can include properties that have already been sold or ones that never existed. Such challenges not only hinder the buying experience but also tarnish the reputation of legitimate agents within the $595 billion real estate market.
AgentKart seeks to disrupt this cycle by establishing a platform where verification and privacy are prioritized. By ensuring that only background-checked and KYC-verified agents can operate on the site, the platform provides a level of assurance to buyers and sellers alike. It features a unique Agent ID for each agent, allowing users to verify credentials easily. Additionally, listings are dynamically updated; once a transaction is complete, the property is automatically removed from the platform, eliminating the issues associated with stale or misleading listings. This streamlined approach is designed to foster a healthier ecosystem for real estate transactions in India.
The platform has seen a promising start, with over 1,000 users signing up during its initial week of soft launch. AgentKart facilitates professional interactions through scheduled appointments, utilizing in-app chat and video conferencing features. This not only enhances the communication experience but also allows for the transparent comparison of reselling prices among various agents, enabling buyers to make informed decisions without the pressure of blind negotiations. For agents, AgentKart represents a significant shift in how they can engage with clients, focusing on quality leads rather than the traditional model of purchasing cold leads that often yield little to no return on investment.
Dicson Diclause, the CEO of AgentKart, emphasizes the importance of such a platform, sharing his personal experience of witnessing unethical practices in the real estate sector. He noted that the problem extends beyond individual agents, reflecting systemic issues that have persisted for years. With the Indian real estate market projected to surpass $1 trillion by 2030, Diclause and his co-founder Ketan Warikoo are committed to reshaping the industry's landscape. By prioritizing verification, reputation, and privacy, AgentKart aspires to establish a new standard in the real estate sector, ensuring that these elements become integral to the transaction process rather than mere luxuries.
